200 Projects, 20 Years of Innovation, 2 Countries
Web Pioneer, 3-time Founder and 9-time CTO
For good reasons: Because when Juergen Specht founded his first dotcom in 1993 he not only became part of the first Internet revolution; after moving to Japan in 1999 he also played a crucial part in revolutionizing the mobile world. Since then Juergen Specht has successfully launched more than 200 international web and mobile projects. As a matter of fact, many technologies that users take for granted these days were first introduced by him.
And today ... he still thinks ahead; developing innovative solutions for fast moving markets and world's insatiable thirst for media.
One of his clients once aptly described him: "Juergen Specht finds extraordinary solutions to ordinary problems.". His passion for technology is limitless. Every day, several hundred million people worldwide use software and services he has designed or developed. His special strength is the technical realization of vague business ideas. Juergen Specht knows how to develop rough ideas into innovative, scalable international services.
1 man. 2 countries. 3 founded startups, 9-times CTO (Chief Technology Officer). 30 programming and script languages at his disposal. Up to 45 members in his team. Over 200 successful web and mobile launches since 1993. About 40.000 international companies use API's developed by him. More than 70 million registered customers on his eCommerce platform for Rakuten Ichiba, Japan. And he still has an infinite amount of new ideas in his head...
Whatever Juergen Specht does, it is always based on profound experience, up-to-date professional knowledge and inexhaustible passion.
His services include:
Since 1993 Juergen Specht has been working for the following clients - from consulting, conception and project management to software development.
Juergen Specht plays an important role in the international photographic scene. His platforms Shakodo and D1scussion count way over 50,000 registered users and many of his photographs have been internationally published.
Shakodo was launched in December 2010 as an innovative question & answer service for amateur and professional photographers as well as their clients. The network aims to make the photography business - in particular the topic of pricing - as transparent as possible for everyone involved. Shakodo is active on Twitter and worth following for every photographer.
It is hard to believe, but digital photography had its breakthrough no sooner than in 2005. As early as in 1999, Juergen Specht founded D1scussion, a mailing list for digital pioneers, professional photographers and Nikon employees who have been active there since the beginning.
In 2005 Juergen Specht brought OpenRAW to life, a network tackling far-spread problems with proprietary RAW data formats of camera manufacturers. The workgroup's activities have led to an all new approach in the handling of RAW data and have made way for a better cooperation between the camera industry and software manufacturers.
What started as a hobby has developed into a professional passion for Juergen Specht: With (so far) 8 exhibitions in Germany and Japan and more than 600 publications worldwide he has made a name for himself even beyond insider circles. His private photo gallery shows Juergen Specht's artistic side - with pictures that may not always safe for work...
